Arcane Season 2 is now available on Netflix, and fans are really excited about a new character named Kid Jinx, also known as Isha. This young friend quickly becomes close with the infamous Jinx, and as their relationship grows, it adds a new layer to the show. But who is Kid Jinx, and what does this person do in this dangerous world? What do we know about Isha and what does she mean to Jinx in Season 2 of Arcane?
Who is Kid Jinx?
Kid Jinx, whose real name is Isha, is an orphan from Zaun’s undercity. In Episode 2, Isha is first seen when Jinx saves them from Chem-baron Chross’s goons who are after the kid. Once Jinx did something brave, it brought them together, and Isha quickly became devoted to her. In the episodes that follow, Isha stays by Jinx’s side and protects her from different dangers, such as the Chem-baron Smeech and later Vi and Caitlyn’s trap.
The way Isha looks and acts can help us figure out where they come from. They look like they are from a rough, working-class family in Zaun because they are wearing a miner’s helmet and Goggles. Even though they are in a dangerous and violent area, Isha is very — loyal — to Jinx and helps her out when she needs it.
The Link Between Jinx and Kid Jinx
It looks like Isha has filled a void in Jinx’s life. She’s been a lone wolf because of trauma and mistrust, but Isha changes everything for her. The bond between them is strange but strong, and it’s clear that Jinx has started to shape Isha’s own journey. Fans actually think that Jinx might start to see herself in Isha and become her mentor or guardian.
It’s interesting that Isha’s relationship with Jinx affects people around them. When Vi and Caitlyn try to surprise Jinx in Episode 3, Isha steps in and causes Vi and Caitlyn to get into a heated argument. Vi wants to save Isha’s life but Caitlyn is more cruel, which shows how they don’t get along. Vi and Caitlyn eventually split up because of this disagreement which sends them on separate missions to take down Zaun’s criminal underworld.
Kid Jinx’s Possible Role in Jinx’s Growth
Although Isha is loyal and brave, Jinx may also change because of Isha. The character has always been complicated, with deeply buried feelings of vulnerability that balance out her tendency to be crazy. Jinx might think twice about what she does and how she acts now that Isha is looking up to her. Isha has already shown some similarities between her past and Jinx’s, which suggests that their relationship could help Jinx change or at least think about herself.
Christian Linke and Alex Yee—who made Arcane, probably added Isha not just as a sidekick but also as a reflection of Jinx. Jinx might face her past and change the violent way she lives if Isha plays a part in the show. It seems like Jinx and Isha are more alike than they seem at first glance, as shown in the music video for “Isha’s Song” which is sung by Eason Chan. Jinx might show a different side as she deals with her dark and crazy world through this bond.
What Will Kid Jinx Do Next?
Isha’s past is still a mystery but their bravery — loyalty — and love for Jinx make them an important part of the story. It seems likely that Isha will become an even bigger part of Jinx’s life as Season 2 goes on. We don’t know if Jinx will eventually change her mind about Isha or become protective of her but one thing is for sure; Isha’s presence will continue to have an effect on Jinx and those around her, which could change her fate in unexpected ways.
