Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 8: In the highly anticipated fall finale of Chicago Med, viewers will be treated to a surprise return: Rachel DiPillo is back as Dr. Sarah Reese. Dr. Reese — a former psych resident under the mentorship of Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt), hasn’t been seen since the Season 4 premiere. This episode is one that no fan will want to miss because her return will bring up old feelings and unresolved fights.
After a rough exit from Gaffney, Dr. Reese found out that her father was a serial killer. She had a lot of faith in Dr. Charles, who cared deeply about her, but this news broke her trust in him. Even though it’s been six years, the wounds are still fresh, and Dr. Reese’s return is sure to make things worse between them again. It looks like Dr. Charles is shocked to see his old student but once he gets over his shock, he and Dr. Reese disagree about how to care for a depressed patient. They’ve been tense with each other for a long time and this episode will go into detail about the problems they still haven’t solved.
The rest of the Gaffney team is also having their own problems. Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerso) is still having problems at home and at work, and Drs. Lenox (Sarah Ramos) and Ripley (Luke Mitchell) are helping a man who was in a car accident and has just gotten back together with his college sweetheart. As always, Chicago Med is able to mix personal drama with the week’s medical cases to make an episode that is both emotional and full of action.

The fall finale will have a lot of medical mystery and deep character drama. Dr. Reese’s return will be the most emotional part of the episode. People who have watched the show for a long time can see how the doctors’ relationships have changed — or not changed— over the years.
