All American Season 6 Episode 1 Recap

There is a big time jump at the beginning of the episode that shows it’s been over a year since the last season’s events. Spencer and Olivia were only meant to be apart for three months while Olivia (Samantha Logan) studied in London. Now that Olivia has decided to stay another year, their relationship is in bad shape.

Spencer goes to see Olivia in London right before she was meant to go home, but Olivia wants to keep going with her cultural exchange program and figure out who she is now. Spencer isn’t sure what to think about their future together after hearing this news.

Olivia sends Spencer a letter in which she tells him she loves him and hopes that their relationship will stay the same even though she will be gone for a long time. However, Spencer and Olivia both have questions and worries about their relationship.

Spencer and Olivia have a heart-to-heart talk as the show goes on, and Olivia tells Spencer again how much she loves him.  Olivia moves in for a kiss after telling Spencer she loves him. She knows that her feelings for Spencer haven’t changed, even though she may have changed while she was in London. Olivia’s statement makes Spencer feel better, and he tells her he wants to take their time getting to know each other again as they start a new part of their lives.

Spencer and Jordan are rivals and compete with each other as they do well in football and get ready for the NFL draft. Spencer in particular got a lot of attention from the media before the draft, which made Jordan’s play on the field less important.

In this episode, a new coach is introduced to GAU. This coach thinks that Jordan is the team’s best asset, even though the media is focusing on Spencer. Spencer also talks to Jordan about his worries about the future. He talks about how worried he is about the chance of being drafted and having to move , which could affect his relationship with Olivia.  Jordan told him to live in the present.

In the first episode of Season 6, Jordayla’s friendship is shown to still be strong. They are still committed to each other, even though they may have had problems in the past. Layla Keating  (Greta Onieogou) and Jordan Baker talking about their plans for the future, which includes their upcoming wedding. They say they want to put off getting married until after they finish from college.

Asher Adams and Jaymee Teasley’s storyline in the Season 6 premiere of All American is about their new roles as parents and the problems they face juggling parenthood with their personal and school lives. A cute boy named AJ was born to Asher and Jaymee.

By making Asher an offensive assistant coach, Coach Montes (played by the late Kamar de los Reyes), helps Asher out in his life. Coach Montes also offers to watch baby AJ while Asher studies, showing that he is ready to help Asher deal with the challenges of being a parent.

In “Things Done Changed,” the Season 6 beginning of All American, Patience’s story is about getting over the bad things that happened in Season 5, especially being stabbed by Miko. The episode shows that Patience (Chelsea Tavares) recovered in New York for six months.  The longtime hangout Slauson Cafe has been replaced by Layla’s music bar. However, Layla and her business partner Ryan are having trouble getting used to the new business.

Patience is still having a hard time with the mental effects of the stabbing, even though her body is getting better. During her first public performance of music since the event where she thinks Miko is there, she has a panic attack. Patience’s anxiety grows when she hears that Miko might be freed on bail or found not guilty during the hearing. This makes her panic attack happen.

At the same time, Coop tries to help Layla deal with her feelings of guilt over what happened with Miko. Layla is told that she is not to blame for what happened with Patience, and she is told to concentrate on moving on. But Patience tells Layla that she is not guilty for what happened and that she shouldn’t feel bad about it.
